Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Email address: when you sign up for updates (via the newsletter signup in the footer or the "Subscribe to updates" option when submitting a tool), or when you contact us through our contact form.
• Name: optional, if you provide it on the contact form.
• Tool submission details: if you suggest a tool via our Submit a Tool form, we collect the information you provide about that tool.
• IP address: collected briefly on form submissions to help prevent spam and abuse. It isn't used to track you across the site or tied to your identity beyond this purpose.
• Analytics data: only if you accept Analytics cookies (see Cookies below), we use Google Analytics (GA4) to see how visitors use the site — pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device/browser type, and referring site. This is aggregated usage data, not tied to your name or email.
• Advertising data: only if you accept Marketing cookies (see Cookies below), we use the Meta Pixel to measure and improve ad performance on Meta platforms (Facebook/Instagram) — it shares your browsing activity on this site (pages viewed, actions taken) with Meta for that purpose.

What we don't collect

We don't have user accounts or passwords. We don't collect any payment or financial information. We're not a store, and every tool listing links out to the developer's own website.

Cookies

When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept, reject, or customize which categories of cookies we use:

• Essential — required for core site functionality; can't be disabled.
• Analytics — enables Google Analytics (GA4), described above. Off by default.
• Marketing — enables the Meta Pixel, described above. Off by default.

Analytics and Marketing scripts only load in your browser if you've accepted the corresponding category — neither loads by default, and each can be turned on or off independently. You can change your choice at any time via the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page.

How we use it

• Email addresses are used to send the updates you signed up for, and to respond if you've contacted us.
• Tool submissions are reviewed manually before anything is published.
• IP addresses are used only for spam/abuse prevention on our forms and are not retained for any other purpose.
• Analytics and advertising data are used only for the purposes described above, and only when you've consented to the relevant cookie category.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site:

• Supabase, which hosts our database and stores form submissions.
• Resend, which sends emails on our behalf (confirmation emails, contact form notifications).
• Google, via Google Analytics — only if you've accepted Analytics cookies. See Google's own privacy policy for how it handles this data.
• Meta, via the Meta Pixel — only if you've accepted Marketing cookies. See Meta's own privacy policy for how it handles this data.

We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with any other advertisers or third parties beyond what's listed here.

Your choices

You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the Cookie Settingslink in the footer. To stop receiving newsletter emails, or if you'd like us to delete information you've submitted, contact us using the link below and we'll take care of it.
