Faux Stereo
Rogue Waves
This application scans through extensive audio collections to automatically detect files that contain redundant double-mono content, often referred to as false stereo. By identifying these files, it provides a safe, non-destructive way to convert them into true mono while preserving all original file metadata, such as sample rates and directory paths. This process helps users significantly reduce disk space usage and prevents audio plugins from consuming unnecessary CPU resources during mixing or game development tasks. The tool features a simple drag-and-drop interface with options to either overwrite the original files or export them to a designated directory.
